ABOUT HAPPY FEET BALL

​

The annual Happy Feet Ball finances shoe purchases for children in need, right here in our local community. You may be surprised to learn that many children are walking to school with holes in their shoes, no socks, and no shoestrings. For more than 40 years, Charities Guild of Northern Kentucky has provided thousands of pairs of shoes and socks to local students thanks to the support of individuals and businesses like yours.

In the State of Kentucky, more than one in four children are currently living in poverty. According to the most recent data released by the U.S. Census Bureau (9/2016), Kentucky ranks as the sixth-highest childhood poverty rate in the United States and is now tied for the fifth-highest rate of overall poverty in the country. Poverty impacts every aspect of a child’s life. Charities Guild of Northern Kentucky's mission is to help provide basic needs in the form of shoes and hope our compassion can break the cycle of poverty in each child’s life we touch.
